Is it too early for Halloween? I couldn't resist adding this great Bargello design by Laura Perrin to our recent order.

Counted Canvas work is VERY popular at the shop. The canvas size is "easy on the eyes" and the variety of stitches and fibers are a stitchers delight!

Designs are available for all stitching levels and beginning classes are offered regularly to get you started.

16 New Colors from DMC

This is exciting news! DMC has added 16 brand new colors to the line of Embroidery Floss. These are the first new colors to be added since 2001, and were developed based on input from some of your favorite needlework designers.

The boxed set is in stock and available NOW at ULY. 

Frosty Forest is a new 9 part series from Country Cottage Needle-works!

Each design is 65w x 65h or about 4" square when stitched on the recommended
32 count Pearl Grey linen. ULY has a master layout sheet to stitch these all on one
piece of  18 x 18 fabric

ULY has a very popular automatic program for this series! Sign up now, and we will notify
you as your charts arrive at the shop. Mail order is also available if you live out of the area.

Number 1 & 2 are HERE along with the fabric. Just as cute as you would expect from the Country Cottage designers.

I started this one as a New Year's project. Tip: for stitching with white thread, try using white Anchor floss and "railroading" your top stitch for perfect coverage!

Subject: Crescent Colours Now Known As Classic Colorworks

Today we are pleased to announce that Crescent Colours hand dyed threads will now be manufactured by Classic Colorworks, a brand new company in the cross-stitch industry.

Ronny Williams, the son of Little House Needleworks founders Diane and Ron Williams and brother of Country Cottage Needleworks founder Nikki Leeman, is the sole owner and will oversee dyeing and shipping operations for his new company.

The soft and vibrant colors stitchers have come to love, as well as the high quality of the threads, will remain the same.

The names and colors of current threads will not change so any existing designs that call for Crescent Colours threads may now be filled by the same color names but under the manufacturer Classic Colorworks.
